A US global conglomerate seeks a VP of International Tax for it's Singapore offices. You will be responsible for the international tax issues such as, but not limited to, local withholding tax, application of tax treaties, permanent establishment exposure and basic US international tax issues. You are also responsible for make sure that the deal documentations (letters of intent, lease agreements and approval papers etc.) include the appropriate tax provisions. Job Responsibilities:
- Review tax aspects of LOI's and contracts.
- Review deal documents, including tax indemnity agreements and discuss such with customers.
- Analyse withholding tax and other local country tax issues relating to non-US deals.
- Coordinate transfer tax on deliveries
- Complete and sign off on deal approval papers.
- Tax advisor on structured transactions such as bulk sales of assets and securitisations.
- Support the business teams on other deal related or tax related matters.
- Manage outside tax advisors, including review of tax opinions.
- Identify and assist in the resolution of transfer pricing issues.
- Identify US international tax issues
