Are you looking for a role in Life Assurance Tax? This Big 4 firm has an impressive and well respected FS practice and is looking for a manager to work in its Tax Accounting Risk and Advisory services team, focusing predominantly on Life Assurance clients.
Tax Manager job, Life Assurance
As a manager with this Big 4 firm you will:
- Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and providing high levels of client service
- Assist in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contributing to winning new clients.
- Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken
- Be involved in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing junior staff development and assignments
Qualifications and experience
As a successful candidate you will have the following attributes:
- Experienced tax practitioner
- Life assurance taxation, industry and product knowledge essential
- Tax audit experience, especially for Life Assurance Groups
- Experience in preparing and reviewing tax provisions for a Life Assurance Group
- Strong knowledge of the tax compliance, reporting and risk management requirements of a Life Assurance Group
- Extensive knowledge of the accounting for and the disclosure of tax under IAS 12 and / or FAS 109
- Practical experience of working with actuaries on tax considerations within MCEV and within a Solvency II environment
- Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and handle challenges
- Team player with ability to create, sustain and lead effective teams
- Client driven and strategically and commercially aware
- Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral.
- Enthusiastic
- ACA / CA / Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training course / Law qualification / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA)
- Relevant post qualified tax experience in industry or practice
