This Financial Institution which has seen its share price significantly grow in spite of the current economic climate has a need for an EMEA Tax Manager. The EMEA Tax Manager will sit within the International Tax Group who are responsible for coordinating on tax matters with the jurisdictions in the EMEA region.
The successful candidates will be expected to ensure that corporate principles, standards, and policies are applied consistently among the countries. A significant component of the job includes working on, and managing global tax projects for the region. In addition, it is essential that the Tax Manager facilitate communication to the EMEA Tax Function and the broader global Corporate Tax Department. For each jurisdiction, the Tax Manager will co-ordinate, review, monitor or plan for each of the following:
* Reorganisations (both within a jurisdiction and multi-jurisdictional)
* Introduction of new products, in conjunction with the Tax Structured Product Specialists
* Tax balance sheet accounts including deferred tax assets, FIN 48 reserves
* Tax attribute utilisation
* Tax audits, tax litigation
* Transfer pricing
* Acquisitions and dispositions (Support M&A Tax Team)
* Local tax law changes and implications (and inform senior management appropriately)
