A new opportunity has arisen for a global provider of banking, financial, investment and funds management services. This is a 3 months contract role where you will be part of a team supporting the EMEA regions application of the tax accounting and tax compliance framework across all taxes.
Core responsibilities:
* Review tax account calculations templates prepared by the offshore finance function
* Review of EMEA tax balances for accuracy and completeness
* Prepare and review the quarterly branch capital calculation
* Support Tax Division on revenue authority enquiries including preparing responses to enquiries
* Prepare board reports on uncertain tax positions
* Review the capital charging calculations and justify charges to the business units
* Review UK and Irish tax computations for accuracy and completeness
* Liaise with tax advisors and business units to complete European (excluding UK and Ireland) tax compliance obligations
* Complete a technical review of the statutory accounts tax notes and assisting with audit queries
* Calculate tax instalments, UK Withholding Tax liabilities
* Respond to ongoing business queries.

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills (including ability to communicate across jurisdictions and cultures)

* Experience using Alphatax
Technical/ Job Related:
* Strong tax technical background and ability to understand and analyse complex transactions from a tax accounting perspective
* Strong tax accounting background - IFRS & UK GAAP
* Solid understanding of tax compliance
* ICAA qualified or equivalent
