Successful candidates will be experienced tax professionals who have worked in UK Corporate Tax in either the Big 4, a reputable accountancy firm or the financial sector.
Core duties of the role;
* First point of contact regarding the preparation of UK corporation tax returns and computations.
* Working to tight schedules to prepare yearly tax provisions.
* Preparation of UK tax reconciliations in accordance with IFRS and GAAP.
* Corporation tax reviews for proposed liquidation companies and advice regarding outstanding corporation tax issues.
* Liaising with the legal department and HMRC.
* Ad hoc tax support as required by the bank such as, review of payments to non-executive directors including commentary on UK income tax, PAYE and NIC consequences.
