Senior Manager - Indirect Tax - Health - UK wide
Our rapidly growing NHS Tax team is looking to recruit to continue helping our clients across the UK. You will work autonomously for a superior client portfolio with the UK's largest and award winning Indirect Tax group while developing your skill set and establishing your own network as you gain exposure across a mix of service lines. Our work is varied and involves advising on all of the core compliance indirect tax issues in the NHS (e.g. Contracted-out services) as well as more complex technical advice on new commercial developments .
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing VAT compliance and consultancy advice to clients
- Leading business development initiatives on target accounts
- Leading existing client engagements
- Developing less experienced staff with hands on advice and support
- Input into development of new market opportunities locally and nationally with an opportunity to lead the market development of the new ideas
- Growing and enhancing relationships with targets and clients
- Identifying cross service line opportunities
To be considered, you must possess:
- Prior VAT experience gained within professional services or HMRC (preferably in advising the NHS, but this is not essential and for the right candidate we would be prepared to significantly invest in your industry training)
- Strong technical skills
- Excellent client facing, relationship building and business development skills, coupled with commercial awareness
- The ability to be proactive, identify opportunity and take early responsibility
