Deloitte's Funds group sits within Financial Services Tax and consists of a team of well established tax specialists led by 5 partners who work exclusively with fund clients be it hedge funds, private equity funds, securities funds or their managers. The team is drawn from the profession, industry and HMRC and prides itself in providing advice that is pragmatic and relevant as well technically excellent. We encourage our tax professionals to fully engage in industry initiatives, both as part of the broader Funds Advisory team within Deloitte but also via secondments to clients, HM Treasury and industry trade bodies.
Recent and future growth plans mean the team is looking to strengthen itself at all levels including manager level.
As a manager in the Funds tax team at Deloitte, you will have an opportunity to work on a broad array of work assignments ranging including advising on tax structuring, regulatory and residency issues for a wide range of fund vehicles, dealing with reporting requirements, complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. You will also have the opportunity to advise UK and international clients on transactional, M&A and personal tax issues. The different projects that you will be managing will ensure that you are challenged on a daily basis.

To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate:
* UK tax experience gained from an in house role within a financial institution or from an accountancy/legal/advisory firm;
* An ACA or CTA qualification;
* Previous investment management and funds experience either with corporate, fund or personal tax aspects desirable.
* The desire and motivation to advance your career in financial services;
* The ability to manage a portfolio of clients and projects as well as the desire to manage and help develop junior staff;
* The ability to work closely with clients developing strong relationships and applying practical and commercial concepts to technical work;
* The ability to work in a team; and
* Strong communication and written skills.
