Job Description
In this key role as Hedge Fund Tax Manager, you will primarily be responsible for the firm's fund tax compliance process. Specific responsibilities include:
*Managing the partnership tax compliance process for fund filings such as Form 1065, Schedule K-1, Form 5500, and Form TDF 90-22.1
*Identifying the needs of the firm in the area of fund tax and driving the implementation of that vision
*Advising and collaborating with front and back office departments to ensure optimal portfolio management and information flows
*Providing timely and accurate responses to client and potential investor queries
*Management of external party relationships
*Evaluating process controls, procedures, and flows
*Identifying areas for process improvement, developing solutions, and overseeing the prioritization and implementation of those solutions
*Hiring, training, and development of team members to achieve department goals
Required Skills
*6+ years of hedge fund tax experience
*CPA, strongly preferred
*Strong managerial/leadership skills
