This challenging role will require you to advise on various issues covering all areas of US and Europen Custody taxes. Further to this, you will be expected to assist in the recovery of excess operational taxes and calculation of tax liabilities in order to deliver results that are in line with quality, time and cost targets.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for 1099 and 1042 US Tax reporting Cost Basis reporting
- Managing the (QI) and (FATCA) areas
- Advising foreign tax reclaims
- Calculation of US and non-US withholding tax and knowledge of relevant documentation

Suitable candidates will have a strong academic background in taxation and extensive professional experience in the financial services industry as a tax advisor or as part of a tax team in Securities Services or Asset Management organisation. The role also requires this individual to show that they have a solid understanding of US operational taxes.
