Leading Multi-National law firm recruiting for a pivotal role to lead the Private Client team on a UK (with clear international overlap given their presence) basis at Practice Director level.
This role may suit existing fee-earners in the Private Client space or those who have perhaps stepped out of traditional fee-earning and into a comparable role or perhaps are in a Private Bank, Wealth Management company or Boutique.
You will be required to have tax skills but you will be involved in a number of activities in order to bring the Private Client together on a number of fronts i.e. Strategic Management, Business Development, Communication, Financial Management, People Development (HR), Work Allocation/Flow, Firm and inter-firm relations and Know-How Tax Technical resource policy.
For avoidance of doubt there is existing capacity and indeed systems as regards Marketing, HR, Internal communication, Finance functions etc but your role will have a hybrid element to it against the backdrop of remaining within the Private Client sphere. You will work closely with existing personnel and other Practice Group Leaders / Partners and on that note there is complete buy-in from the Partnership.
This practice is a household name in the Private Client space so although there are differing tenets to this role you are aided by a very impressive brand name /gravitas and established history in the tax world on a global basis.
The client base includes super HNWI, aristocrats, entrepreneurs, OMB?s, industrialists, executives, celebrities, politicians and other prominent figures.
You are not required to be a lawyer or indeed have worked in a law firm or comparable role but must have the know-how and understanding of what the above role would entail / require in terms of fresh thinking.
Job specification available on request. Very impressive salary and bonus package in excess of most fee-earning roles. Note: this role may have a fee-earning element to it but more likely not given above.
A degree of travel (not regular) may be required. Relationships / networking / project management skills are key for this role so you will bring good interpersonal skills and have established / managed / delegated and worked with staff across a wide range of levels and geographies.
Salary circa ?85,000 - ?170,000 + +
UK tax experience is a requirement for this role.
