The Company
Reach International is working with this global accountancy firm to appoint a number of External Audit Managers within its Dublin office. You will be fully qualified with experience of Commercial sectors such as Energy, Construction, Commerce, Technology, Property, Public Sector, Transport, Industrial, Media and Telecoms. You will work on a client portfolio comprising public companies with listings on Irish, UK and US stock exchanges, large public and private sector businesses and blue chip multinational companies with major operations located in Ireland
The Role
• Responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients including planning of audit – timing, staffing and structure
• Liaising closely with clients in relation to planning and closing meetings, and to discuss business developments generally
• Reviewing audit work papers
• Researching and resolving technical queries from clients
• Reviewing and finalising financial statements
• Liaising with directors and partners, as well as other professionals including Tax, Actuarial, etc.
• Assisting in managing a group of seniors and trainees
• Monitoring the development of seniors and trainees and playing an active role in the performance appraisal process
• Participation in the delivery of training courses to staff
• General administration, including working capital management
The Candidate
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of External Audit and IFRS, preferably obtained in a “Big 4 / Top 10” firm
• At least 1 years’ experience as an Audit Manager within a large accountancy firm
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience of auditing sectors such as Energy, Construction, Commerce, Technology, Property, Public Sector, Transport, Industrial, Media and Telecoms
• For immigration purposes you MUST have an EU passport
