This Fortune 500 Company is well respected in its chosen field and is offering you the chance to join its business on a contract basis covering maternity leave. Joining an existing team of 2 individuals that sit within the wider people mobility management department, you will take responsibility for advising international assignees on their tax status. This role is to start as soon as possible and to succeed; you will require existing experience in expatriate tax that has been gained from either practice or in-house.
The Role
*Assist in providing the complex client engagements with accurate advice on strategic staffing and assignment costs during proposal, deal shaping and engagement life cycle
*Providing tax planning opportunities to reduce tax differential costs
*Maintaining close relationships with engagement leads to anticipate staffing issues and answer complex questions
*Utilise mobility tools to provide advice on engagements
*Conduct/coordinate tax briefings
*Review and update cost estimates
*Contribute to set up UK country tax positions for secondment, taxability of standard compensation elements, equity plans, tax equalisation policy for countries of responsibility
*Assist in managing relationships with key executives and others outside of the team.
*Interface with other internal groups of the company.
*Assist in managing key vendor relationships (mainly tax and immigration advisors) and address service level issues.
About You
*Solid UK expatriate tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm
*Knowledge of share plans, modified payroll and tax cost estimates
*ATT and/or CTA qualification would be advantageous
