Primary responsibility for the tax reporting and corporation tax compliance on a portfolio of entities within Northern Europe and interfacing with colleagues throughout Europe and the US.
Key Tasks
* In charge of quarter end and year end tax reporting compliant with local GAAP & US GAAP
* Responsibility for the external accounting audit of tax provisions.
* Preparation and submission of corporate tax returns
* Advising on the group relief position
* Provide technical support on issues in tax computations
* Responding to queries from the tax authorities
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Helping with policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance with applicable local tax laws
* International tax issues including transfer pricing
Experience
* Professional qualifications - qualified accountant
* Strong academic record with top tier university
* Big 4 experience preferred
* At least 4 years post qualification experience
* US GAAP experience
* Preference to have Local GAAP experience in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Finland
* Excellent corporate tax & VAT compliance experience
* Experience with cross border issues
* Effective written and verbal commercial skills
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to proactively engage with the wider teams within the business
