Working closely with the Global Head of Employment Taxes, you will take charge of all employment tax related matters across the EMEA region, for an organisation that attracts some of the highest performers within their respective fields of specialism.
Your remit will include a broad portfolio that includes the management of employment tax compliance, tax audits, tax reform & advisory projects as well as the identification & implementation of process improvements. This company has several long term incentive plans awarded to senior management and so an understanding of the technical position of share schemes and the associated compliance issues will also be an important part of this role.
Working closely with Shared Services, the Global Mobility Centre and HR at all sites across the EMEA region you will assume a key role in the success of the Global Employment taxes team.
The core responsibilities of the job include:
В• The provision of commercially effective advice to the businesses in the EMEA region
В• Management of Employment Tax risk across the EMEA region and its businesses.
В• Identifying and ensuring tax compliance and reviewing all related processes. This will involve processes in payroll, share schemes and all other areas where there are tax compliance issues.
В• Input into HR remuneration & benefits planning and close interaction with HR in respect of national policies, relevant law changes and related issues.
В• Assisting the appropriate regional tax manager/advisor in respect of any reviews or negotiations with the local tax authorities
You will be an established employment tax professional from either industry or the profession, probably at manager grade or above, with specific experience in UK & cross border employment & expatriate taxes issues. You need to be a strong communicator & team-player and will be encouraged to liaise directly with team members across the globe, very senior executives & external advisers and also represent the organisation on external committees.
