Our client is one of the UK's leading firms of accountants and business advisers, with more than 1,500 partners and staff operating from 23 offices around the country. An opportunity has arisen in the Nottingham office for a Corporate Tax Manager / Senior Manager to manage a portfolio of clients and advise them on day to day tax compliance and planning opportunities as well as the tax impact of proposed transactions affecting both the owners and their business including business purchases and management buy-outs.
Principal duties:
* Manage and progress your portfolio of corporate clients.
* Deal with the more complex corporate tax compliance affairs for a portfolio of clients and the implications for personal tax within owner managed businesses.
* Provide ad hoc tax consultancy and planning advice on both corporate and personal tax issues.
* Business development, including assisting the partners in the development of the region and the tax department in particular.
* Provide tax support and advice to the partners in respect of corporate finance transactions. This will include undertaking due diligence reviews as well as advising on the taxation aspects of the deal structure, tax warranties and indemnities.
* Supervise and review work of junior staff.
Education / Qualifications:
Qualified accountant ~ CA/ ACA/ ACCA, with CTA and the relevant experience gained within a practice environment.
