This Big 4 Firm has a market-leading Tax Management Consulting team helps businesses to transform their tax function to implement best practice management of compliance & reporting by way of improving processes and risk management and implementing technology. As a result of its ambitious growth plans, there are a number of exciting opportunities to join the team at the Assistant Manager/Manager level and work with high profile clients in designing and implementing custom solutions to manage their complex and wide-ranging tax affairs.
The role
Becoming a member of Tax Management Consultancy's market leading team, you will have responsibility for assisting Europe's leading organisations to:
- Create effective tax strategies to support business aims.
- Consider whether to insource or outsource tax compliance.
- Manage large global outsource engagements with a view to adding value by way of identifying tax planning opportunities or by transforming and streamlining processes.
- Streamline and simplify compliance processes from data collection through to HMRC reporting.
- Use tax software for preparing tax returns.
- Improve tax compliance through bespoke software solutions and automation.
- Change or improve Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or accounting systems (such as SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft) for tax purposes.
- Create tax risk management frameworks and systems.
- Benchmark against comparable organisations across a range of tax function activities.
The candidate
- ACA/CTA or equivalent qualifications or experience with indirect tax or tax consulting experience gained in a large or mid-tier firm or consultancy
- IT literate with an aptitude for using and reporting through systems or an interest in doing so at the Assistant Manager level
- A proven track record in managing and developing client relationships
Additional relevant experience may include working on large or international tax audits, implementing technology, co-ordinating international projects and working on tax compliance engagements.
